Here are some questions that we get asked often. If you have any questions that aren’t on this page, feel free to get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
At times, the need for a professional Caregiver may be unexpected and urgent. While we recommend allowing a few days to ensure we have the best personality match for your loved one for a successful long-term, consistent relationship, we are routinely able to accommodate a same-day request. Some restrictions may apply.
Yes. Long-Term Care Insurance is a plan (more akin to a life insurance policy than a health insurance plan) that differs from health insurance. Long-Term Care Insurance plans typically cover care when the insured individual is unable to perform two of the six activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, eating, toileting, continence, transferring (getting in and out of a bed or chair), and walking.
Our care team conducts routine supervisory visits and random quality assurance check-ins to ensure our Legacy Home Health standards of care and customer service are being adhered to.
Of course! Once a care plan is set in place, we will arrange for a personal meet and greet with your Caregiver before beginning services. Our matching process is made based on condition-specific experience, personality fit, and your preferences.
Clients can set up care on an hourly basis as needed. Our compassionate caregivers are ready to help with daily activities, transportation, shopping and meal preparation, and other tasks that support wellness and ageing in place.
Getting live in care can help keep seniors safe. Live in caregivers are assigned to live with an older adult for a period & provide care directly in their own home.
Legacy Home Health Care offers home care on a daily and hourly basis, but for more information on this subject, visit our service page.
With our 24 hour care service, caregivers come in shifts and stay with the client around-the-clock, ready to assist with all activities of daily living and ensuring safety all hours of the day. 24/7 care provides service for those seniors who always require close supervision. Hourly care is typically provided at a minimum of four hours but is also available for more consecutive hours at a time.
